Fireworks explosion kills 21: China

Guangdong province –Fireworks explotion kills 21 people, includes 5 children, & 48 were wounded. The fireworks were set off by the family of former village leader Yang Junshu outside their house in Shiqiaotou village.

A few of the fireworks fell on a cache of fireworks stored at the front of their home & caused a series of explosions. The family had bought 100’s of 1000’s of Yuan worth of fireworks straight from the producer, claimed villagers.

The explosion made around 7-meter wide, & around 2-metre deep pit in front of Yang's home. 13 people were killed at the sight & 8 people were died at hospital with the injured, 47 peoples were receiving treatment at hospital, including 7 who were in critical conditions. 11 bodies have been recognized, including 5 children.

Egypt to free bazaar bombing accused: report

Cairo– Egypt's state security prosecutor on Monday ordered the free of 7 people accused over a noxious bazaar bombing in February 2009 that slayer a French tourist. 3 Belgians, 2 Palestinians & 2 Egyptians have been ordered free, officials said.

12 persons had been under arrest in connection with the attack. 5 are still being in custody for further investigation. A British diplomat said that the British suspect had been released in recent weeks, before withdrawing the report.

The interior ministry had accused the suspects of having ties to Al-Qaeda & of carrying out an attack on February 22 last year at the famed Khan al-Khalili bazaar in Cairo. IN this attack 17-year-old French girl was killed & 24 people, mostly tourists, were wounded in the bazaar bombing, the 1st deadly attack on tourists in Egypt since 2006.
