Iran hangs man convicted of spying for Mossad: IRNA

Iran on Tuesday suspended an Iranian criminal of spying for the Islamic Republic's arch foe Israel; the official IRNA news agency extracted a report from the judiciary as saying.

Ali Akbar Siadat was establishing guilty of relaying responsive data to Mossad, having worked for the Israeli astuteness agency since 2004. He was arrested four years later when he tried to leave Iran with his wife. Mideast press deems US proposal fragile

The media in the Middle East commented at length on the US proposal to offer Israel defense and security guarantee in return for renewing a partial freeze on the building of Jewish settlement on the West Bank.

Israeli response ranged from hopeful to sceptical. Arab commentators were flippant of the offer. The in general tone of comment was that the US proposal was no assurance of progress in the talks.

Comatose ex-Israeli PM moved home from hospital

Israel's exhausted former Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, was moved home to his ranch Friday, almost five years after being debilitated by a series of strokes while still in office.

Medical teams took the previous leader, who has been in a coma since early 2006 and is attached to a breathing apparatus, from his room in the long-term care unit of a hospital exterior Tel Aviv at dawn Friday. Security crews erect screens so he would not be visible when he was wheel out of the building and into a to come ambulance.

As of the hospital, security guard in SUVs escorts the ambulance to Sharon's family ranch in southern Israel.

Israeli plan to build hundreds of homes in West Bank settlement risks US anger

Israel today periled infuriating fresh US anger when a plan to build 800 homes in the West Bank resolution of Ariel was disclosed hours after the Obama management expressed "deep disappointment" at endorsement for more than 1,300 Jewish homes in East Jerusalem.

Israel plans 1,300 East Jerusalem Jewish settler homes

Israel has exposed plans to build nearly 1,300 housing units for Jewish settlers in busy East Jerusalem.

A construction settlement is illegal under international law and current efforts to revive Israeli-Palestinian quiet talks have delayed over the issue.

The statement comes as Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is on a bureaucrat visit to the US.

Palestinian officials have allegedly described the move as an Israeli effort to sabotage the talks.

Israelis to break taboo and play Wagner in Germany

An Israeli pop group says it will execute works by Adolf Hitler's favorite composer, Richard Wagner, in a taboo-breaking concert in Germany next year.

Meirav Magen Lelie, spokeswoman for the Israel Chamber Orchestra, says the performance will take place at the Bayreuth festival in July. It will be the first time an Israeli pop group has played Wagner in Germany.

The works of the 19th century originator, a virulent anti-Semite, are not played on Israeli airwaves, and his music is rarely performed out of respect to the country's hundreds of thousands of Holocaust survivors.

Lelie says the presentation was initiated by Wagner's great granddaughter, Katharina Wagner. It will be led by instrumentalist Roberto Paternostro, whose mother survived the Nazi genocide.

Oren: U.S. offered Israel incentive for settlement freeze conservatory
