CMs’ convene on top of internal Protection

Aerosmith To Hold Auditions For Substitution Singer

Aerosmith has begun its look for a singer to put back Steven Tyler - although whether it's everlasting or short-term is undecided.

Perry however contends that it may take a short time for those things to be handled- guitarist Brad Whit ford, bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer - feel about to wait as they get ready for the group's 40th anniversary in 2011.

It's kind of hard to get a directly answer in relation to what's going on, Perry said. He has to have leg and foot surgical treatment and it's essentially going to take him out of the picture for about a year . So we are going to get somebody to get in there and fill up that place. When Brad was sick, we got somebody else to come in and play for him. That's fundamentally how I look at it; we have to another singer to stand-in.

Perry would not talk about any candidates for the job up till now but did say there are a few people we've talked to, and we'll see how it goes. As far as auditions go, we'll probably just sit around and have a pair of snacks and see if we get along.
