Three men went on trial Wednesday in relation with the killing of Russian exploratory journalist Anna Politkovskaya, Russia's RIA-Novosti news agency reported.
Ibragim and Djabrail Makhmudov, who are brothers, and former interior ministry official Sergei Khadjikurbanov, are not accuse of killing Politkovskaya themselves, but being accomplice.
Lawyers on both sides made preliminary motions and the case was adjourn until Friday for the judge to think them, Russia's Interfax news agency reported.
