Washington , The senior Republican on the council Judiciary commission said Monday he'll vote against Supreme Court contender Sonia Sotomayor, siding with his party's leaders against the judge who's on a fast track to flattering the first Hispanic justice.
Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., weighed in on President Barack Obama's first high court choice the day before his board is scheduled to vote on her suggestion. Her confirmation by the full Senate, with at least a handful of GOP votes , is almost certain by next week.
