The Countryside agreement says that except the entire process is cut down, the digital divide will keep rising and the money pledged will be all but valueless. The Countryside union says plans to transport fast broadband to rural areas have stalled.
According to a government spokesman all four pilot projects were building good progress, and ministers remained convinced that Britain would have Europe's best broadband network by 2015. Except more is done to make simpler the procedure of acquiring and implementing rural broadband projects, the digital split will continue to grow and the money pledged by the alliance will remain all but worthless.
Companies such as BT, Fujitsu and Cable & Wireless have situated in bids to make networks in diverse areas and every commission must decide which to choose. The money for these projects has been billed and will be provided to the local establishment when they start spending on the projects.
