U.S. President Barack Obama is meeting with the governors of states in the Gulf of Mexico and visiting new ground tainted by oil, one day before he'll take to the airwaves and then address the nation about the catastrophic oil spill there.
Obama arrived in Gulfport, Miss., shortly before 11:30 a.m. ET for his fourth visit to the area. His first three trips to the Gulf were took him to the hardest-hit state, Louisiana.
He met immediately with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour and Thad Allen, the U.S. Coast Guard admiral leading the cleanup efforts. They discussed how to improve communication in order to co-ordinate those efforts effectively.
