A car bomb detonated in Colombia's capital today, hurtful at least nine people and destructive buildings in what emerged to be a confront to the country's new president, Juan Manuel Santos.
The blast happen at 5.30am outside the offices of Caracol Radio in northern Bogotá, devastating windows and tiles in concerning 30 buildings and raining glass onto people sleeping in their couch.
Establishment said the assault, which came now days after Santos was on oath in as president, bore the stamps of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc), leftist guerrillas who have been fighting the state for decades.
Santos recognized the blast a terrorist act and urged Colombians to go about their daily business. "Their only aim is to sow terror and that they will not achieve," he told journalists at the scene. "We will continue to fight terrorism."
