THE man charged with a horrific sex and petrol attack on a teenage girl claims a "gap" in his memory before he found himself naked and on top of the victim, who was then left for dead in her torched house, police allege.A police summary tendered in a hospital bedside court hearing said Michael Hermogenes, 24, admitted taking alcohol and food to the girl's home at Caroline Springs in Melbourne's outer western suburbs on Monday morning said the Herald Sun.
Mr Hermogenes, of no fixed address, was under police guard in The Alfred hospital last night recovering from injuries he allegedly suffered in the blaze.
He is alleged to have told investigators he watched a movie with the 14-year-old, listened to music and took photographs with her.
