Contamination increase worsens South Asia's chill fog


According to experts they have noticed that the force of fog has grown-up in the Indo Genetic plains in the last few days, leading to increased impacts. Scientists said that a quick rise in air contamination from relic fuels and biomass burning has worsened winter fog and extended its duration in many parts of South Asia.



Nepal's Department of Hydrology and Meteorology director general Keshav Prasad Sharma agrees the issue of smog is becoming increasingly severe in the plains in southern Nepal bordering India. A number of studies have shown that they account for around 40% of air contamination in and approximately the capital Dhaka. Just like in Bangladesh, India also sees lots of constructions throughout wintry weather as this is the dry season before the region gets monsoon rainfall preventing such workings.
