First Windows Phone 8 handsets unveiled by Nokia


Nokia has unveiled its initial handsets powered by Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 OS. Nokia's loss deepened to 1.41bn euros in its last income quarter subsequent to it lost market share. Their New York press talk comes in the middle of a number of launches. Apple, Motorola and HTC all have procedures premeditated over the next three weeks creating extra competition for Nokia as it heads into the busy winter holidays shopping period.



The Lumia 920 features a Snapdragon S4 processor, a 4.5in curved screen, and can be used though trying gloves. The flagship device, the Lumia 920, features wireless charging and a PureView camera which the mobile firm said presented better video and still images than rival smart phones. Samsung has previously shown off a Windows Phone 8 device, and LG and Sony have also newly revealed their new top-of-the-range Android mobiles. A cheaper Lumia 820 was also detailed.
