With 3D phenom "Avatar" all the rage at the ShoWest convention of movie theater operatives here this week, Fox Home Entertainment told that Tuesday the smash hit will hit DVD & Blu-ray Disc in 2D versions on April 22."Avatar" discs also will be at the same time released in worldwide markets. An April release had been probable, but the studio hadn't set a specific street date until now.
A 3D version of the film is expected to be released for home-entertainment may be in next year. "Avatar" has step up to $2.6 billion in worldwide box-office since its theatrical release on Dec 18.
