Attorney General Cuccinelli said on Monday that Congress lacks power under its legitimate power to control interstate business to force people to buy insurance. He said the bill also conflicts by a state law that says Virginians cannot be necessary to buy insurance."If a person chooses not to buy health insurance, that person by meaning is not engaging in trade," Cuccinelli said in recorded notes. "If you are not asking in commerce, how can the federal government regulate you?"
Cuccinelli said he maps to file his lawsuit in federal court in Richmond, Virginia, once President Barack Obama signs the bill into law, which he is supposed to do. The bill needs most Americans to have health coverage, & offers subsidies to help lower-income workers pay for it.
