Second sign of swine flu possible

Around 30,000 people have been immunized through the free human being swine flu vaccination clinics via Queensland Health. Nearly 90 clinics have been performed, mainly at high schools, in the past 2 weekends & it will continue on tomorrow.

Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette said it was possible a second wave of human swine flu might hit in April or May. “Queenslanders can shield themselves, their family & their local society by taking plus of these free immunization clinics at state high schools,” she said.

“It is vital children & adolescents are immunized to help protect themselves & the broader community, but all of them in the family above the age of 6 months should be vaccinated.”

Darling Downs- “If you’ve missed the past two weekends try and make plans to attend this Saturday’s clinics. If you take this precaution now it will help you and your family has a healthier winter,” he said.
