Children's charity KidsCan is under scrutiny over how much of the money it elevate in fact goes to those in need but its chairman is defending its work.
The KidsCan StandTall generous Trust received over $2 million from TV3's Big Night In telethon event last weekend and they are pledging that money will be departing into its kids' programmes.
However, according to the trust's own statement of economic performance last year, only about 18 cents in every dollar was used for the programmes with the bulk of funds raised spent on administration.
