A Jewish man has won his fight against a German museum for the return of thousands of rare posters stolen from his father by the Nazis in 1938. The Berlin museum said in a report that it accepts the ruling, bringing an end to the seven-year lawful fight. Hans Sachs, who managed to escape to the US following being held in an attentiveness campsite, is thought to have composed up to 12,500 posters, of which only 4,529 have been recognized.
Berlin's central Court of Justice ruled Peter Sachs, is the rightful owner of the posters. The German chronological Museum only displayed a small number of posters at any one time later than becoming fraction of its collection following the fall of the Berlin Wall. According to Peter Sachs It feels like vindication for my father, a last recognition of the life he lost and never got back.
