Vancouver 2010 Olympic cross-country 4X10 Relay: Sweden wins gold

Sweden's men's cross-country team took the gold in the 4X10 relay Wednesday in 1:45:05.4, defeating Czech Republic and France, who took silver and gold respectively. Canada completed the race in 7th position. Canada's Devon Kershaw completed the first leg placing 10th before handing off to his ally Alex Harvey at the Whistler Olympic Park Cross Country skiing stadium Wednesday.

Kershaw completed 28.2 seconds after the pace set by Finland's Sami Jauho Jaervi. The French and Swedish relay teams completed the first leg in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Alex Harvey finished the second leg in 9th place prior to handing off to teammate Ivan Babikov.

Alex Harvey crossed the 20 km mark 52 seconds after Sweden's pace-setting time of 55.53.1 minutes. The Czech Republic and France completed the second leg in the number 2 and 3 spots, respectively.

Ivan Babikov finished the third leg in 7th before handing off to teammate George Grey. Ivan Babikov crossed the 30 km mark 50.3 seconds after Anders Soedergren of the pace-setting Swedish team. France and the Czech Republic completed the third leg in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
