Police have recovered drugs supposed to be methamphetamine after a motorcyclist allegedly speed past a police Highway Patrol car. Police said the event occurred approximately noon yesterday after a motorcyclist allegedly conceded a patrol car at over 120km/h along Lethbridge Rd in Fielding.
The patrol car chased the motorcyclist for approximately 1.5km and found the discarded bike on Maewa Road. "A large amount of drugs, supposed to be methamphetamine, along with additional drug-related items were recovered," police said.
A 41-year-old Feilding man was in prison close to where the bike was abandoned. He will come out at Palmerston North District Court today charged on drug-related charges, driving whilst suspended also fault to stop.
